Material Notes: Description: GUR 2122 UHMW-PE is a linear polyolefin resin with a molecular weight approximately 10 times that of high molecular weight high density polyethylene (HMW-HDPE) resins. The extremely high molecular weight of this resin yields several unique properties including superior abrasion resistance and impact strength. Its unique morphology produces a low bulk density, making this resin particularly suitable for compression molding with high filler content or for free sintering of porous products. Outstanding properties also include a low coefficient of friction which results in self lubricating, non-stick surfaces after processing. Available only in powder form. Data provided by Ticona.
