Material Notes:
Description: EUROPLEX® O is a novel orthopedic material with the following properties:

  • successor product to PLEXIDUR® O
  • good impact strength (comparable to polycarbonate), making it virtually unbreakable
  • The relatively light inherent color makes orthopedic aids very unobtrusive to wear, and enables pressure points to be identified during fitting
  • Shows very good X-ray transmission, so that ortheses do not need to be removed during X-ray examinations
  • Easy to process: EUROPLEX® O can be thermoformed from 90° C onwards
  • Further important aspects in connection with medical devices: EUROPLEX® O is not attacked by perspiration (good chemical resistance), is physiologically unobjectionable and has a perfectly smooth surface
  • It is therefore easy-care and hygienic
  • Available as transparent sheets in thickness of 2.0 to 5.0 mm
