Degussa Plexiglas® zk50 Molding Compound
Subcategory: Acrylic; Thermoplastic
Material Notes: Description: PLEXIGLAS® zk20, PLEXIGLAS® zk30, PLEXIGLAS® zk40 and PLEXIGLAS® zk50 are impact modified molding compounds based on polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). The grades of the zk series are the classical impact-modified PLEXIGLAS® molding compounds. Their most noteworthy features are the following: - high break resistance and impact strength
- improved resistance to stress cracking
- tested dishwasher resistance (zk30 and zk50)
PLEXIGLAS® zk molding compounds are particularly suitable for injection molding. They can, however, also be used for profile extrusion or coextrusion. Uses of PLEXIGLAS® zk molding compound: lighting fixtures, writing and drawing utensils, domestic appliances and sanitary ware. Information provided by degussa.
