Degussa AG Trogamid® BX7304 Nylon Blend
Subcategory: Nylon; Thermoplastic; Nylon 6-3
Key Words: PA 6-3-T/XX, trimethyl hexamethylene diamine terephthalic acid
Material Notes: Description: The TOGAMID® BX grades cover reinforced and non-reinforced blends based on PA 6-3-T and semi-crystalline polyamides. Non-reinforced blends are permanently transparent. Some blends have been developed in particular for manufacturing plastic-rubber composites. The special characteristics are:- high resistance to stress cracking
- resistant to grease and fuels
- good strength high hardness
- very low mold shrinkage
- very low tendency to warp
- low moisture absorption
- dimensionally stable even while absorbing water
The polyamide blends are especially suitable for the production of injection-molded parts subject to high thermal and mechanical stress. Thanks to their high stiffness moldings made from reinforced grades are appropriate for substituting cast metal parts, and are significantly lighter than these. Moldings exhibit outstanding surface qualities in spite of their high glass fiber content. TROGAMID® BX compounds can be combined with various rubber mixtures to produce plastic-rubber composite parts that are resistant to fuel and oil. Specific Notes for this Material: Permanently transparent polymer blend consisting of an amorphous and semi-crystalline polyamide for injection molding; improved stress-cracking resistance, low water absorption Information provided by degussa.
