Degussa AG Trogamid® BX9727 Nylon 6-3 Compound for Plastic-Rubber Composite
Subcategory: Thermoplastic
Material Notes: Description: The TOGAMID® BX grades cover reinforced and non-reinforced blends based on PA 6-3-T and semi-crystalline polyamides. Non-reinforced blends are permanently transparent. Some blends have been developed in particular for manufacturing plastic-rubber composites. The special characteristics are:- high resistance to stress cracking
- resistant to grease and fuels
- good strength high hardness
- very low mold shrinkage
- very low tendency to warp
- low moisture absorption
- dimensionally stable even while absorbing water
The polyamide blends are especially suitable for the production of injection-molded parts subject to high thermal and mechanical stress. Thanks to their high stiffness moldings made from reinforced grades are appropriate for substituting cast metal parts, and are significantly lighter than these. Moldings exhibit outstanding surface qualities in spite of their high glass fiber content. TROGAMID® BX compounds can be combined with various rubber mixtures to produce plastic-rubber composite parts that are resistant to fuel and oil. TROGAMID BX compounds are oil- and fuel-resistant. They are suitable for manufacturing moldings with high strength and hardness that are subjected to high thermal stress. The mold shrinkage, warpage and moisture absorption are low.
