Degussa AG Vestamid® X7094 Nylon 612 Molding Compound
Subcategory: Nylon; Thermoplastic; Nylon 612
Material Notes: Description: VESTAMID X7094 is a modified nylon 612molding compound specially developed for applications in plastic and rubber composites according to the K&K-process ("Kunststoff &Kautschuk"). Parts of VESTAMID X7094 can be directly bonded to carboxylated rubber, e. g. XNBR or XEP(D)M, without using any adhesives or adhesion promoters. Because of its semicrystalline morphology VESTAMID X7094 provides an excellent chemical resistance, e. g. against greases, oils, fuels and hydraulic fluids. Compared to molding compounds based on nylon 6 or 66, VESTAMID X7094 shows a significant lower moisture absorption. Information provided by degussa.
