Description: VESTODUR X9406 is an impact modified compound based on polybutylene terephthalate. The resin is used as a barrier layer resin in multilayer tubing 1000.1 (MLT 1000.1)developed by Degussa. MLT 1000.1 is a 3-layer-tubing comprising an outermost layer of VESTAMID LX9010, an adhesive layer of VESTODUR X9407, and an innermost layer of VESTODUR X9406. This MLT was developed as fuel line tubing with outstanding resistance against hydrocarbon permeation when alcohol containing fuels are used. VESTODUR X9406 provides excellent barrier properties also in contact with fuels at elevated temperatures.
