Degussa AG Vestoran® 1900 PPE Compound
Subcategory: Polyphenylene Ether/PPO; Thermoplastic
Material Notes: Description: The polyphenylene ether compounds (PPE) VESTORAN® are amorphous materials with high heat deflection temperature. VESTORAN® compounds and the parts produced from them have the following properties:- very low water absorption
- hot water-resistant
- resistant to alkalis and acids
- very low mold shrinkage
- very low tendency to warp
VESTORAN® has proved to be highly suitable for production of coil bodies for vehicle electricity on account of its high dimensional stability, heat deflection temperature, dielectric strength, and ability to bond well to insulating compounds (epoxy resins). In addition, its low water absorption makes it a good choice for producing impellers for water pumps, for example, in engine cooling, but also for applications in machinery and engineering. Further applications include relay sockets, distributor cabinets, and large capacitor cases. Applications: Vibration absorbers, shock absorbing bushings, reinforced profiles, seals Information provided by degussa.
