KiON CERASET® POLYSILOXAZANE 33 Ambient-Cure Ceramic Precursor
Subcategory: Thermoset; Polymer
Material Notes: General DescriptionKiON Ceraset Polysiloxazane 33 is a clear, low viscosity liquid polysilazane that can be used by itself or in combination with ceramic or metal particulate for a variety of thin cross-section ceramic applications, such as sealant coatings or in ceramic membranes or filters. KiON Ceraset Polysiloxazane 33 is designed to cure at ambient temperature through a moisture-induced crosslinking mechanism. When applied to a substrate, KiON Ceraset Polysiloxazane 33 will be dry to the touch within 1 hour (depending on the relative humidity), and thoroughly dry over the course of several hours. KiON Ceraset Polysiloxazane 33 has a faster cure profile than KiON Ceraset Polysiloxazane 12. Pyrolysis results in the formation of an amorphous, non-glassy silicon oxycarbonitride ceramic. Applications Sealant for Porous Ceramics, SiC / Si3N4 Coatings for C/C Composites, Spin Coating, and Ceramic MEMS. Information provided by KiON Corporation
