Kydex® IM11 PVC injection Molding Compound
Subcategory: Vinyl; Thermoplastic
Key Words: Polyvinylchloride
Material Notes: Injection molding compound Applications: General purpose injection molding applications Features: IM11 has a flexural modulus of 400,000 resulting in a very rigid product. Parts made with IM11 are very resistant to harsh chemicals, solvents and to cleaning agents. It offers flammability resistance and is self extinguishing. Has a Gardner Impact Resistance of 17.8 J/mm. Processing: Drying is not typically required, however, if drying is needed dry at 55° for 4 hours. Darrel temperature are typically 157 and 196°C. Mold temperature should be between 32 and 60°C. Minimize the residence time in the barrel and keep melt temperature between 196 and 207°C. To achieve a homogeneous melt, keep sufficient back crack .7-2.8 N/mm2. Before shutdown purge thoroughly and neutralize the mold. Contact Kleerdex Company for more information or refer to Kydex Injection Molding Guide. Data provided by the Kleerdex Company.
