Kydex® IM75 Injection Molding Compound
Subcategory: Thermoplastic
Material Notes: Injection molding compound for building products Applications: Building products requiring compliance to Class I/A. Features: IM75 meets the requirements for flame spread and smoke development for Building Code Class I/A compliance. Pars made with IM75 are very resistant to hard chemicals, solvents and to cleaning agents. Processing: Drying is not typically required, however, if drying is needed dry at 55° for 4 hours. Barrel temperatures are typically 157 and196°C. Mold temperature should be between 32 and 60°C. Minimize the residence time in the barrel and keep melt temperatures between 196 and 207°C. To achieve a homogeneous melt, keep sufficient back pressure .7-2.8 N/mm^2. Before shutdown purge thoroughly and neutralize the mold.
