Kydex® P85 Extrusion Compound

Material Notes:
Clear profile extrusion compound with FDA raw materials

Applications: FDA approved raw materials

Features: Low haze value, good impact resistance, good melt flow characteristics. Has a Gardner Impact Resistance of 22.2 J/mm.

Processing: This compound should be processed using rigid PVC extrusion equipment under standard PVC operating conditions. Barrel temperatures in an extruder should be set at 166-171°C and adapter and die temperatures should be 171-177°C. Screw RPMs of 23 to 33 are typical. Typically single screw extruders are used for pelletized material and conical twin screw extruders for powder. Unlike other thermoplastic resins, pre-drying is not required.
