Kuraray HYBRAR® / Polypropylene Blend PH2
Subcategory: Elastomer, TPE; Polypropylene; Thermoplastic
Material Notes: Description: HYBRAR® is another in the series of new high performance thermoplastic rubbers developed by KURARAY using their unique isoprene technology. HYBRAR® is a special thermoplastic rubber which exhibits high vibration damping properties at room temperatures. Both hydrogenated and non-hydrogenated grades of HYBRAR® are available. In addition to the superior vibration damping properties, hydrogenated grades also exhibit excellent miscibility with polypropylene, and may be used to produce blends with excellent transparency, flexibility and mechanical properties.A flexible and transparent compound may be obtained by combining a hydrogenated HYBRAR® resin with polypropylene. A homopolymer or random copolymer polypropylene can be used for this application. These compounds have high tensile strength and excellent impact strength. They may be used for film, sheet or profile extrusion applications and make an excellent alternative to flexible PVC. Mixing Condition: Twin screw extruder @ 210°C Molding Condition: Press molding @ 210°C Formulation (parts by weight): Polypropylene (Homopolymer) - 90, HYBRAR® 7125 - 10 Information provided by The Kuraray Group.
