Description: Lapex R products are composed of polyphenylsulfone (PPSU). Lapex R is a high temperature resin distinguished by a superior combination of properties. It combines very high heat deflection temperature under load (210°C) together with excellent dimensional stability and resistance to creep at high temperatures. Lapex R features outstanding impact properties compared to other high temperature materials. Moreover PPSU offers a high degree of chemical resistance and it is suitable for virtually unlimited sterilization cycles. Lapex R is intrinsically flame retardant and maintains UL94 V0 rating at low wall thickness (0.8 mm). During the combustion it gives low heat release, low smoke generation and low toxic gas emission so that it is suitable for use in public buildings or aircraft.
