Luvocom® 70/TF/18/SI/2 Silicone and PTFE Filled PK
Subcategory: Polyketone; Thermoplastic; Polymer
Material Notes: Description: The addition of PTFE, graphite, molybdenum sulfide or silicon increases the glide properties of thermoplastics. In particular the addition of lubricants to glass fiber reinforced materials reduces abrasion and increases their durability. With the further addition of carbon fibers, materials for the most demanding tribological environments can be produced. Luvocom® products in this group are suitable therefore not only for dry running, self-lubricated bearings but for all applications which require good gliding properties and a low rate wear and tear. Processing: Luvocom can generally be processed on commercial injection molding machines, provided that the injection unit has been well designed and common technical rules have been obeyed. Barrels and plasticizing screws should be protected against wear as usual for processing reinforced thermoplastic compounds. Added fibers and fillers could act abrasive. It is urgently advised to pre-dry the pellets with an appropriate dryer just before processing. Information provided by Lehmann & Voss.
