Master Bond Hot Melt MB516
Subcategory: Epoxy; Thermoset; Polymer
Material Notes: Extra Tough, High Strength Polyamide Resin for Hot Melt Bonding of Plastics, Metals and Wood.Master Bond Polymer System MB516 is a pelletized extra tough, high strength, low viscosity polyamide resin composition for the hot melt bonding of plastics, metals and wood. It features excellent thermal stability in the molten state, when exposed to air for up to 3 hours at 210°C (410°F) or 6 hours at 190°C (375°F). High strength and chemically resistant bonds are obtained with polycarbonates, nylons, polystyrenes, acrylics, plasticized PVC, phenolic, melamine laminates, aluminum, steel and wood. Master Bond MB516 is also recommended for specialty flexographic ink compositions for laminating applications. The preferred single solvent is n-propanol, but mixtures of alcohols and aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents are also suitable Information provided by Master Bond Inc.
