Merquinsa Pearlthane® D11T80 Polycaprolactone Copolyester based TPU
Subcategory: Polyurethane, TP; Thermoplastic
Material Notes: Pearlthane® 11 series is based on Merquinsa`s proprietary polycaprolactone (PCL) technology. It offers a unique combination of key benefits vs. standard TPU polyesters:- Significant lower part cost because of intrinsic lower density and faster processing
- Superior performance such as hydrolysis resistance, abrasion resistance and low temperature impact properties.
Plasticizer-free polycaprolactone-based TPU, combining low hardness with excellent mechanical properties, as well as an improved transparency. It can be extruded and injection moulded. Applications: Injection moulding: Automotive parts, gasket & seals, mining screens, goggles, casual shoe soles, and overmoulding. Extrusion and compounding: Wire bound hoses, TPE compounding, hose sheathing, pneumatic tubing, elastic/barrier films, belts & profiles such as timing belts, transparent tubing, and compounding. The values shown are typical values and should not be used for establishing specifications.
