Montell PF611 Polypropylene Homopolymer, High Melt Strength
Subcategory: Polypropylene; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: Basell is the successor company to Montell.
Material Notes: Primary Processing Method: Extrusion Coating Key Features: high melt strength polypropylene homopolymer for extrusion coating, low specific gravity, low neck-in, good moisture barrier properties, good die cutting characteristics, low odor and taste transfer, FDA acceptable Applications: release paper, label coatings, fabric coatings, microwaveable folding cartons, flexible food packaging, multi-wall bags Meets FDA requirements in 21 CFR 177.1520 for all food contact, including cooking applications. Description: Pro-fax PF611 high melt strength polypropylene homopolymer resin is designed for extrusion coating applications. Due to its unique strain hardening behavior, it has excellent gauge control at very high coating line speeds and draw ratios. Coatings can provide an economic alternative to film laminations while maintaining critical properties of clarity, gloss, stiffness and abrasion resistance. This resin meets FDA requirements in the Code of Federal Regulations in 21 CFR 177.520 for all food contact, including cooking applications. All ingredients meet the chemical registration requirements of TSCA and DSL. Information provided by Montell Polyolefins.
