Montell PF633 Polypropylene Homopolymer, High Melt Strength
Subcategory: Polypropylene; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: Basell is the successor company to Montell.
Material Notes: Primary Processing Method: Additive for Extrusion Key Features: high melt strength polypropylene homopolymer resin, FDA acceptable, high draw ratios, reduced check-in, contributes to bubble stability in blown film, good moisture barrier properties, good chemical and grease resistance, low odor and taste transfer Applications: blown film, extrusion coating Meets FDA requirements in 21 CFR 177.1520 for all food contact, including cooking applications. Description: Pro-fax PF633 high melt strength polypropylene homopolymer resin is used as an additive for extrusion applications. It can improve extrusion processability by increasing melt curtain stability. This results in more uniform draw at higher rates. As a blend component, it can impart higher service temperature and higher stiffness. This resin meets FDA requirements in the Code of Federal Regulations in 21 CFR 177.520 for all food contact, including cooking applications. All ingredients meet the chemical registration requirements of TSCA and DSL. Information provided by Montell Polyolefins.
