Montell PH920S Polypropylene Homopolymer, Very High Melt Flow
Subcategory: Polypropylene; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: Basell is the successor company to Montell.
Material Notes: Primary Processing Method: Masterbatch/Concentrates Key Features: high melt flow polypropylene homopolymer resin, reduced die pressure prolongs die life, reduced char build-up on screen packs and dies prolongs production runs, minimal stabilization, high melt flow saves energy Applications: fibers, compounded products, color concentrates Meets FDA requirements in 21 CFR 177.1520 for all food contact, including cooking applications. Additives require a reassessment. Description: Pro-fax PH920S very high melt flow polypropylene homopolymer resin is suitable for fiber extrusion or compounding applications. This material is available in spherical particle form that is well suited for mixing with pigments and other additives to make polymer concentrates or masterbatches. This resin has very minimal stabilization, which allows wide design latitude for the compounded. Additional suitable stabilization is required to protect the resin during melt processing and throughout its useful life. This resin meets FDA requirements in the Code of Federal Regulations in 21 CFR 177.520 for all food contact, including cooking applications. All ingredients meet the chemical registration requirements of TSCA and DSL. Information provided by Montell Polyolefins.
