Subcategory: Polypropylene; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: Basell is the successor company to Montell.
Material Notes:
Key Features: nucleation shortens cycles, higher productivity, homopolymer-like stiffness with improved resistance, excellent gloss, low odor and low taste transfer, high flow ease of mold filling, minimum warpage and wider design latitude, FDA acceptable Applications: yogurt containers Description: Pro-fax SC865 nucleated polypropylene copolymer resin is designed for high-speed injection molding of thin wall dairy containers. It exceeds the performance of in-house homopolymer and copolymer blends by offering a consistent balance of stiffness, impact resistance, gloss and fast cycling properties. This resin meets FDA requirements in the Code of Federal Regulations in 21 CFR 177.1520 for all food contact, including cooking applications. All ingredients meet the chemical registration requirements of TSCA and DSL. Information provided by Montell Polyolefins.
