Montell SD613 Polypropylene Impact Copolymer
Subcategory: Polypropylene; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: Basell is the successor company to Montell.
Material Notes:
Key Features: high extrudate melt strength, improved cold impact resistance, low odor and taste transfer, FDA acceptable, sheet sag resistance, good parison formation control during blow molding Applications: thermoformed structural an appliance parts, deep draw thermoformed containers, large extrusion blow-molded industrial items Meets FDA requirements in 21 CFR 177.1520 for all food contact, including cooking applications. Description: Pro-fax SD613 high melt strength, fractional melt flow, medium impact polypropylene copolymer resin is designed for blow molding and sheet extrusion applications. This resin provides the high melt strength and sheet sag resistance necessary for convenient vacuum forming of large structural parts as well as thin items, such as disposable packaging. Its high melt strength also allows good parison formation control during blow molding. This resin meets FDA requirements in the Code of Federal Regulations in 21 CFR 177.1520 for all food contact, including cooking applications. All ingredients meet the chemical registration requirements of TSCA and DSL. It has a UL yellow card RTI, which applies to all colors. Information provided by Montell Polyolefins.
