Montell SE191 Polypropylene Impact Copolymer
Subcategory: Polypropylene; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: Basell is the successor company to Montell.
Material Notes:
Key Features: excellent electrical and physical properties, excellent resistance to environmental and thermal stress-cracking, low density an low dielectric constant contribute to light and smaller cables, tailored for high speed processing on thin-walled constructions Applications: telephone singles general primary insulation All ingredients meet TSCA (US) and DSL (Canada) registration requirements. Description: Pro-fax SE191 low melt flow, electrical grade polypropylene copolymer resin has outstanding toughness, flex-life and abrasion resistance. This resin demonstrates good processing behavior and is tailored for trouble-free production of primary cable insulation, especially filled telephone cable because its unique stabilizer system resists extraction by petroleum-jelly based filling compounds. This resin meets FDA requirements in the Code of Federal Regulations in 21 CFR 177.1520 for all food contact, including cooking applications. All ingredients meet the chemical registration requirements of TSCA and DSL. Information provided by Montell Polyolefins.
