Montell SV956 Polypropylene Impact Copolymer
Subcategory: Polypropylene; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: Basell is the successor company to Montell.
Material Notes:
Key Features: nucleation shortens cycle for higher production, resists dust and dirt pick-up, homopolymer-like stiffness with improved impact resistance, excellent gloss, low odor and low taste transfer, high flow for ease of mold filling, minimum warpage and wider design latitude, FDA acceptable Applications: strippable closures, collapsible core caps, screw thread closures, hinged caps, overcaps, thin walled containers, housewares Meets FDA requirements in 21 CFR 177.1520 for all food contact, including cooking applications. Description: Pro-fax SV956, antistatic, nucleated, and slip modified, high melt flow polypropylene copolymer resin is designed for fast rate injection molding of caps and closures. This resin has a better balance of impact strength and stiffness than the homopolymer resins typically used in the closure industry. This resin meets FDA requirements in the Code of Federal Regulations in 21 CFR 177.1520 for all food contact, including cooking applications. All ingredients meet the chemical registration requirements of TSCA and DSL. Information provided by Montell Polyolefins.
