Subcategory: Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: Basell is the successor company to Montell.
Material Notes:
Key Features: thermoplastic olefin resin for calendared and extruded sheet or air quenched blown film, no slip, no antiblock, excellent heat sealability, outstanding puncture resistance, plasticizer-free, excellent low temperature impact resistance, excellent chemical and environmental stress-cracking resistance, FDA acceptable Applications: medical packaging, trash bags, stationery, sheet, films Meets FDA requirements in 21 CFR 177.1520 for all food contact, except for certain fatty foods. Description: Adflex KS-353P thermoplastic olefin resin is designed for calendared and extruded sheet, as well as monolayer and multilayer air quenched blown films. It is based on proprietary Montell process technology and can be used on conventional PVC calendaring equipment, sheet extruders and LLDPRE and HDPE film extrusion equipment. This resin is ideal for making soft hygienic or heavy duty films. It can also be used to modify LDPE or LLDPE resin in order to improve mechanical characteristics, puncture resistance, and to allow further downgauging. It contains no slip or antilock. This resin meets FDA requirements in the Code of Federal Regulations in 21 CFR 177.2600 for resins in rubber articles for repeated use applications. All ingredients meet the chemical registration requirements of TSCA and DSL. It has passed USP Class VI testing. Information provided by Montell Polyolefins.
