Basell Adflex™ Q 100 F Polyolefin
Subcategory: Polyolefin; Thermoplastic; Polymer
Material Notes: Description: Adflex™ Q 100 F is a thermoplastic polyolefin which has been developed for the extrusion of blown film, it is also suitable for sheet extrusion. Adflex™ Q 100 F features a very high softness and a very low modulus. It is ideal for the production of soft hygienic film and heavy - duty film as well as for the modification of LDPE or LLDPE in order to increase their mechanical characteristics, their puncture resistance and to allow further downgauging. It does not contain any slip nor anti-blocking agents. Adflex™ Q 100 F can be easily processed on conventional LDPE or LLDPE blown film lines. The composition of the product complies with the regulations in force in major European countries. Screening tests of migration have indicated that the final item could be used in contact with acqueous, acidic and alcoholic types of food. The base resin in Q 100 F meets the FDA requirements in the Code of Federal Regulations in 21 CFR 177.1520(a)(3)(iii) and (c)3.4 for olefin polymers. According to Basell, all other ingredients used in the above formulation meet their respective FDA regulations and 21 CFR 177.1520(b). Q 100 F meets the FDA criteria for food contact, including cooking applications. Q 100 F can be used under conditions of use A through H listed in 21 CFR 176.170(c), Table 2(attached). However, Q 100 F can only be used in contact with food types I, II, III, IV-B, VI, VII, VIII and IX listed in 21 CFR 176.170(c), Table 1. Information provided by Basell.
