Basell Hifax™ CA 10 A Thermoplastic Polyolefin Elastomer
Subcategory: Elastomer, TPE; Polyolefin; Thermoplastic; Polymer
Material Notes: Description: Hifax™ CA 10 A is a thermoplastic polyolefin which has been developed for the extrusion and calendering of soft film and sheet. Thanks to its high rubber content "Hifax" CA 10 A features low stiffness, low hardness and good impact resistance. The base resin in CA10A meets the FDA requirements in the Code of Federal Regulations in 21 CFR 177.1520(a)(3)(iii) and (c)3.4 for olefin polymers. According to our Basell, all other ingredients used in the above formulation meet their respective FDA regulations and 21 CFR 177.1520(b). CA10A meets the FDA criteria for food contact, including cooking applications. CA10A can be used under conditions of use A through H listed in 21 CFR 176.170(c), Table 2(attached). However, CA10A can only be used in contact with food types I, II, III, IV-B, VI, VII, VIII and IX listed in 21 CFR 176.170(c), Table 1. Uses: Film, sheet, wall panels, wire and cable applications Information provided by Basell.
