Custom Resins Nylene® NX1170 Nylon 6, MoS2 Filled
Subcategory: Nylon; Thermoplastic; Nylon 6; Polymer
Close Analogs: Data provided by the manufacturer
Key Words: Polyamide 6
Material Notes: Dry as molded. Extrusion grade. Nylene NX1170 is a high viscosity, extrusion grade resin containing 5% molybdenum disulfide for improved wear resistance. The abrasion resistance of nylon 6 is enhanced by the addition
of molysulfide. Because of its high melt viscosity, NX1170 can be extruded into rods, tubing,
thin films, many complex shapes. Optimum processing conditions should provide a melt
temperature of 490 - 530ºF at the die.
