NOVA Chemicals P453B Expandable Polystyrene

Material Notes:
A fast expanding regular molding grade consisting of spherical polystyrene beads containing pentane as expansion agent, typically used for low and standard density foam.

Applications: Stryrocell P453B is used mainly for producing standard density block, which are subsequently cut to board for insulation or packaging.

This grade complies with major European and US food contact regulatory regimes, including: European Community Directive 90/128/ECC, including 92/39EEC and 95/EC, relating to plastics materials and articles, intended to come into contact with foodstuffs. Dutch Food Packaging Regulations. Recommendations of German Federal Office of Health (BGA), now regulated by the new Institute of Consumer Health (BGVV), Empfehlung V. US Food and Drug Administration Code of Federal Regulations title 21, sections 177.1640 (Polystyrene) and 178.3010 (Blowing Agents).
