| Noveon ESTAGRIP® ST 80A Ether-Type Thermoplastic Elastomer  Subcategory: Elastomer, TPE; Thermoplastic Material Notes: Description: This patented technology was developed specifically for the most demanding overmolding applications providing unprecedented adhesion capability to a variety of substrates, the most comfortable soft touch in the industry, and unparalleled durability. The EstaGrip® TPE technology inherently has a higher COF (Coefficient of Friction) and is therefore more grippy; by designing the mold surface finish accordingly the designer can even further enhance this grippy feel. The unique chemistry results in a very warm, soft, comfortable “feel” that translates to the impression of about a 10 hardness point reduction on the Shore scale; i.e., the ST70A, a measured 70 Shore A product, feels like a 60 Shore A product.
Major Benefits of EstaGrip® TPEs: Excellent adhesion to a variety of plastic substratesEstane® TPU / Estaloc® RETP / traditional TPUs / thermoset PUABS, PC, PC/ABS, PET, PBT, CAB, COPE, PA-11/12, some PA-6/6, and vinyls
No adhesive nor mechanical interlocks requiredGood adhesion to wood, metal, or polyolefin substrates with either adhesive layer or mechanical interlocksErgonomically friendly / inherently grippy surfaceUncompromised Soft Touch - like nothing else available in the marketplaceOutstanding durability and toughness unmatched by other TPEsRubber-like performance similar to that of more expensive COPAsEasily pigmentableST80A has formal UL 94 HB certification for all colorsFaster cycling than similar hardness TPEs
