Material Notes: Petromont HDPE 4100 is a high density polyethylene copolymer resin produced using the UNIPOL®
Process. This resin is designed for general use in large diameter heavy duty and non pressure pipe
applications. The applications include profile and corrugated pipes, sewers, culverts and communication
conduits.Petromont HDPE 4100 is a high molecular weight hexene modified resin with a broad molecular weight
distribution offering excellent extrusion characteristics and processability, combined with an excellent
toughness and excellent stress cracking resistance. This grade’s material classification is PE345440A
according to the standard ASTM D 3350-02a, according to D 3350-05, it became PE445440A. It is not a
pressure rated resin.
