Precision Polymer Engineering S60S Silicone Rubber
Subcategory: Silicone; Elastomer, TS; Thermoset
Material Notes: Red Silicone Rubber, 56-65 °IRHD. Silicone rubber having both methyl and vinyl substituent groups on the polymer chain. Excellent steam resistance. Formulated using only those ingredients determined by the United States Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to be in accordance with Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21 (CFR21), Section 177.2600. This material is also BgVV Class 15 compliant. ASTM & ISO designation = VMQ.Applications: Excellent heat resistance and low temperature flexibility. Used primarily for the manufacture of steam gaskets and autoclave seals. Low physical strength and poor abrasion resistance prevents dynamic sealing.
