Premix Thermoplastics PRE-ELEC® ESD 4300
Subcategory: Polyethylene; Additive/Filler for Polymer; Thermoplastic; LDPE
Material Notes: PRE-ELEC ESD 4300 is a static dissipative thermoplastic compound based on PE-LD. The dissipative property is permanent and built into the polymer chain. PRE-ELEC ESD 4300 has been developed for multilayer film blowing. It can also be blow molded or injection molded. Surface resistance values of 109 ohms (EOS/ESD S11.11-1993, IEC 61340-5-1) can be achieved with optimum processing parameters.Typical applications include multilayer bags, sacks and bottles which give permanent ESD protection for the electronics, medical, pharmaceutical and agricultural industries. When PRE-ELEC ESD 4300 is used in the core layer and FDA approved polyolefin in the outer layers, a low charging and food approved film can be achieved. PRE-ELEC ESD 4300 gives also good printability without treatment as it has low surface tension and can be colored into various bright colors. PRE-ELEC ESD 2300 is recommended to be used only in multilayer constructions. Therefore the mechanical properties are dependent on the other layer material. Test Specimen: Monolayer Film.
