Chevron EA3000 High Heat Crystal Polystyrene
Subcategory: Polystyrene; Thermoplastic
Key Words: PS
Material Notes: Description Chevron EA3000 is a cellular grade polystyrene homopolymer of high molecular weight and low polydispersity. It is also suitable for solid extrusion and biaxially-oriented sheet. A high vicat softening point permits use at elevated service temperatures. EA 3000 complies with Food Additive Regulation 21CFR177.1640 for polystyrene, which states that such materials may be safely used in contact with foods. Applications Typical applications include: egg cartons, meat trays, clam-shell containers, biaxially-oriented sheet and contour extrusion.Information provided by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company.
