Chevron EA9400 Rubber Modified Polystyrene
Subcategory: Polystyrene; Thermoplastic
Key Words: PS
Material Notes: Description Chevron EA9400 is a high impact polystyrene recommended for extrusion and thermoforming packaging, custom sheet and contour extrusion. The highlight properties include a smooth glossy surface and excellent rigidity. Optimum processing characteristics and good tensile elongation facilitate the problem-free manufacture of thermoformed parts and contours. Chevron EA9400 natural complies with Food Additive Regulation 21CFR177.1640 for polystyrene and rubber modified polystyrene, which states that such materials may be safely used in contact with foods. Applications Chevron EA9400 is recommended for applications such as drink cups, disposable dishware, portion containers, conical cup liners and food trays.Information provided by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company.
