Chevron EB2100 Rubber Modified Super High Impact Polystyrene
Subcategory: Polystyrene; Thermoplastic
Key Words: PS
Material Notes: Description Chevron EB2100 is a super high impact polystyrene material developed for extrusion and thermoforming. It has extra toughness and exhibits excellent bedability in thin sheet applications. Chevron EC2100 natural complies with Food Additive Regulation 21CFR177.1640 for polystyrene and rubber modified polystyrene, which states that such materials may be safely used in contact with foods. Applications Chevron EC2100 is well suited for those applications requiring toughness greater than that available in regular high impact compounds. It is also used as a blending resin with materials of lower toughness to permit tailoring of product properties, particularly impact strength.Information provided by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company.
