Resin Technology Group MX-2212 High Impact, Multi-Functional, UV Curing Adhesive
Subcategory: Adhesive; Thermoset
Material Notes: This multi-functional product is a rapid setting structural adhesive. UV-MX 2212 provides high impact, resilient bonds to many similar and dissimilar substrates. Multi-functional cure bonds are formed very rapidly by using activator, heat or exposure to ultraviolet light. UV-MX 2212 is a general purpose structural, multi-functional UV curing system designed for bonding, potting and sealing applications. Bonds exhibit both toughness and flexibility and perform well under stress caused by different coefficients of expansion. UV cured bonds are translucent to 1/4” thick sections, the maximum suggested UV curable bondline thickness. Applications: Metal bonding, fillet/sealing or bridging. Encapsulation/ unitizing potting laminations. Typical uses: DC motor construction, Magnet bonding, Pump motor housings, Audio speakers, Pot cure bonding, Mounting plates. Processing: Activator Cure: Bondline thickness of 0.02"; Fixture time of 20-30 seconds; 95% full strength in 1 hour; Full cure in 18 hours. Thermal Cure: Heat can be used as a secondary cure mechanism only after UV light curing for surfaces exposed to air. 1 hour at 225°F; 1/2 hour at 250°F; 15 minutes at 300°F.
