Ineos Styrenics Avantra® 585K Q402 Rubber Modified Polystyrene
Subcategory: Polystyrene; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: Ineos Styrenics purchased this product line from BASF in 2005.
Material Notes: Avantra® 585K Q402 is a high-impact grade of polystyrene with extremely high surface gloss and excellent practical toughness. Although Avantra® 585K Q402 can be processed by any method applicable to polystyrene-based plastics, it is primarily used for extrusion/thermoforming. Avantra® 585K Q402 has the flow and surface gloss that make it suitable for coextrusion onto HIPS sheet used in durable goods applications like refrigerator liners and point of purchase displays. Unlike GPPS, Avantra® 585K Q402 produces a gloss cap that has excellent toughness with little sacrifice in surface appearance. Information provided by Ineos Styrenics.
