HiMod® 914 Thermoplastic Bearing
Subcategory: Thermoplastic
Key Words: Busak + Shamban; TI Group; Smiths Group
Material Notes: Thermoplastic Bearing Characteristics: HiMod® 914 is a self lubricating bearing material developed for the most severe and critical applications. A high LPV along with superb chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, high modulus and low friction and wear rate, allow the solid of wear and friction problems in applications where only Polyamides similar to Vespel® were previously used. HiMod® 914 is an injection moldable engineered thermoplastic which gives the user considerable design freedom along with an economical form of manufacture. Applications: Automotive under-hood components, industrial equipment, oil-field parts, photo processing components, exercise equipment, aircraft, forest industry Information provided by Busak + Shamban, now a subsidiary of Smiths Group.
