Close Analogs: Innovene is a wholly owned subsidiary of BP Group. The polypropylene and polyethylene products of BP Amoco have been moved to the Innovene Division in 2005. BP Amoco acquired the Fortiflex® Polyethylene product line from Solvay Polymers in November 2001.
Material Notes: A high performance carbon black copolymer concentrate designed specifically for implant blending with Fortiflex high density natural pipe resins. G38-70C is used in combination with Fortiflex K44-06-122, K44-08-122, or K44-15-122 to produce a black high density pipe which meets the requirements for a PE3408 rating as recognized by the Plastics Pipe Institute. The resulting formulation so produced is listed under NSF Standard 14 for the transport of portable water.Carbon black loading is 30% per ASTM D 1603. This product information was provided by Solvay Polymers, now a part of the BP Solvay Polyethylene North America joint venture (Nov. 2001).
