Material Notes: Fortiflex® K38-20-123 is a black medium density polyethylene resin designed specifically for pipe extrusion and pipe coating. It exhibits excellent long term stress life and environmental stress crack resistance. This material has NSF certification for potable water applications and is recognized by the Plastics Pipe Institute as having a PE 2406 rating. The natural version of this resin is available as Fortiflex® K38-20-138. ASTM D3550 cell classification of this resin is 234343C. This product information was provided by Solvay Polymers, now a part of the BP Solvay Polyethylene North America joint venture (Nov. 2001).
