Close Analogs: Innovene is a wholly owned subsidiary of BP Group. The polypropylene and polyethylene products of BP Amoco have been moved to the Innovene Division in 2005. BP Amoco acquired the Fortiflex® Polyethylene product line from Solvay Polymers in November 2001.
Material Notes: A black high density polyethylene copolymer specifically for extrusion of potable water, industrial, and mining pipe. It has NSF certification and is recognized by the Plastic Pipe Institute as having a PE 3408 rating. The natural version of this resin is available as Fortiflex K44-06-122.Notch Tensile (PENT) is > 100 hrs. per ASTM F 1473. Carbon black loading is 2.3% per ASTM D 1603. Cell classification is 345464C per ASTM D 3350. Hydrostatic design basis is 11.0 MPa (1600 psi) at 23°C and 6.9 MPa (1000 psi) at 60°C per ASTM D 2837. This product information was provided by Solvay Polymers, now a part of the BP Solvay Polyethylene North America joint venture (Nov. 2001).
