Ineos HDPE K46-06-185
Subcategory: Polyethylene; Thermoplastic; HDPE; Polymer
Close Analogs: Innovene is a wholly owned subsidiary of BP Group. The polypropylene and polyethylene products of BP Amoco have been moved to the Innovene Division in 2005. BP Amoco acquired the Fortiflex® Polyethylene product line from Solvay Polymers in November 2001.
Key Words: High ESCR, excellent weathering resistance, superior drop resistance, and excellent impact strength
Material Notes: HDPE K46-06-185 is the natural version of the discontinued black K46-06-161, which is a widely used high molecular weight, high density copolymer polyethylene developed for automotive fuel tanks. It combines excellent processability and outstanding physical performance, particularly environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR) and impact properties. Its high melt strength aids the continuous extrusion production of multi-layer tanks. This material has no carbon black content.
