FDA: This material complies with FDA regulations in 21 CFR, section 177.1520, paragraph C, section 2.1, for use in articles that contact food. Kosher approved Processing: Westlake Polymers EC 471 is one of the most easily processed polyethylene coatings. Excellent draw down and relatively low viscosity permits high line speeds at low coat weights. Low sensitivity to fluctuations in melt temperature allows Westlake Polymers EC 471 to be easily processed at melt temperatures of 575° to 625°F. For heavy coatings onto cellophane, 570°F is recommended. Neck-in is minimized, odor and smoke is reduced. Information provided by Westlake Chemical Corporation
