Whitecast Polymer Engineering Epoxy Composite Casting
Subcategory: Epoxy; Thermoset; Polymer
Material Notes: Whitecast Polymer Engineering (WPE) low-density material is used for acoustic dampening requirements (Damping ratio = 0.158). There is an order of magnitude higher vibration dampening realized when using WPE composite rather than aluminum and steel. WPE material is 3-5 times greater in vibration dampening than granite. The product has excellent chemical resistance. The aggregate filler blend has been designed for optimum compressive modulus. The purity of the aggregate, particle shape, particle size and particle size distribution are the factors considered during the development of the WPE aggregate material. Combining these materials has resulted in the most stable material used in the polymer composite industry. Information provided by Whitecast Polymer Engineering.
