Chevron Marine Engine Oils Delo 477 CFO are superior high dispersancy, high alkalinity, 17 base Number engine oils.

They are manufactured using the highest quality paraffinic base oils, a nonchlorinated additive package, and newly developed dispersant and detergent technology. Chevron Marine Engine Oils Delo 477 CFO SAE 20W-40 includes a dispersant viscosity index improver.

They are designed for medium-speed diesel engines commonly used in:

• inland and coastal marine vesselsoil service vessels
• power generation engines
• other application using EMD or locomotive-type diesel engines where a zinc-free Generation 5 lubricant is required.

  Applications

  Chevron Marine Engine Oils Delo 477 CFO are recommended:

  • for use in EMD, GE, Faribanks Morse, and other diesel engines operating in marine service, electric generating plants, offshore drilling equipment, and many other applications requiring a high base number, oil in severe medium speed service.
  • where large medium speed diesel engines are used ofr primary power and DDC engines are used for auxiliary power. Detroit Diesel Corporation approves the use of Generation 4 and 5 zinc-free engine oils in these applications
