Chevron Clarity® Synthetic Paper Machine Oils, ISO 460
Subcategory: Fluid; Lubricant
Key Words: CPS Number: 266183; MSDS Number: 6872
Material Notes: Features Chevron Clarity Synthetic Paper Machine Oils combine the unique ashless formulation of Chevron Clarity® Paper Machine Oils with the superior performance properties of polyalphaolefin (PAO) synthetic base oils. This combination provides greatly enhanced thermal and oxidation stability. In addition, the high viscosity index of PAO base oils offers greater lubricant film thickness than the mineral oil-based products at high operation temperatures. The synthetic versions of Chevron Clarity Paper Machine Oils also offer better EP properties, allowing them to be used as EP gear lubricants. Chevron Clarity Synthetic Paper Machine Oils have excellent demusability (water separating ability) and wet filterability, as defined by the Pall Filterability Test. Chevron Clarity Synthetic Paper Machine Oils can be combined with mineral oil products for recycling purposes. They are fully compatible with the mineral oils products, Chevron Clarity Paper Machine Oils. They provide longer lubricant life due to superior oxidation stability, resulting in less lubricant usage, and reduced disposal. Chevron Clarity Synthetic Paper Machine Oils pass the LC 50 aquatic toxicity test. Applications Chevron Clarity Synthetic Paper Machine Oils may be used in the following applications: - Extreme temperature bearing and circulation oil systems
- Gear boxes
- Dryer section accessories
- Moisture profiler
- Calendar rolls
- Crown control rolls
- Oil heated rolls
- High temperature air compressors
- High pressure hydraulic pumps
Do not use in high pressure systems in the vicinity of flames, sparks, and hot surfaces. Use only in well ventilated areas. Keep container closed.
