Material Notes: FeaturesChevron Jet Fuels A, A-1, and A 50 are kerosene-type aviation turbine fuels. They are manufactured to meet the requirements of ASTM D 1655, Standard Specification for Aviation Turbine Fuels. The only difference is the freezing point specification. - Chevron Jet Fuel A has a maximum freezing point of -40°C (-40°F)
- Chevron Jet Fuel A-1 has a maximum freezing point of -47°C (-53°F)
- Chevron Jet Fuel A-50 is offered only in Alaska where a lower freezing point is needed. It has a maximum freezing point of -46°C (-50°F).
Applications Chevron Jet Fuels are recommended for use in all turbojet and turbo-prop powered aircraft used in commercial airline and general aviation service for the grade required by the manufacturer. They may sometimes also be used in certain military aircraft when their use is approved for the application> Chevron Jet Fuels are recommended in all stationary aircraft turbine conversions for standby power or cogeneration, for the grade required by the manufacturer, and all military nonaircraft uses where one of these fuels is specified.
