Material Notes: Description: Conoco Centak is a high-quality, multipurpose, extreme-pressure gear lubricant recommended for the open gears of shovels and draglines. It may also be used in grinding mills, swing gears and pinions, dipper sticks, rails and rollers, as well as plain and lowspeed roller bearings. Centak 11 is an NLGI No. 1 grade, providing flexibility in application over a wide temperature range. The product is smooth, black and viscous semifluid. Centak 11 also has good pumpability and is recommended for automated lubrication systems. Centak is manufactured with a calcium soap and a high-viscosity base oil. It also contains polymers, resins and solid lubricants. However, Centak contains no heavy metals, solvents or asphaltic material. Information provided by ConocoPhillips.
