Material Notes: Chloride and carbonate mixture recommended. For annealing nonferrous materials or for heat treating steel where slight decarburization is not desirable. Wire Annealing Salt is extremely fluid, completely water-soluble, neither hygroscopic nor corrosive, but tends to decarburize steel parts at temperatures above 1300°F.
